Dr. Andres Ricaurte Fajardo is a Clinical Research Fellow in Molecular Imaging and Therapeutics at Weill Cornell Medicine. He received his medical degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia, and gained experience in Neurology as a general physician in Bogota prior to his current position.

Dr. Ricaurte Fajardo’s research interests include stroke, reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome, and health equity, and he has published several papers on these topics. He has also demonstrated strong leadership skills in coordinating and improving radiotherapeutic care for cancer patients. In recognition of his valuable work with underserved communities, he was recently selected as the recipient of the 2023 Pioneer in Diversity Louis Wade Sullivan, M.D Award at Weill Cornell Medicine. Currently, he is focused on theranostics and conducting clinical trials aimed at reducing healthcare disparities.
